About this guide

An independent guide with a visible audit trail: who writes it, how the numbers are checked, and what it deliberately does not do.

LLC from Europe is an independent guide for European founders who want a US LLC without the hype. It is written in plain English, with the primary source next to every number that can cost you money. It is not a law firm, an accounting firm or a formation provider.

Who writes this

The guide is produced by the site's editorial desk and run by a private individual: a Polish founder based in the Netherlands, which is why the examples cover both countries and why the EU tax section exists. A US provider will happily form your LLC and then have nothing to say about your Dutch or Polish tax return. We do not claim credentials we do not have. The site owner, not a company, is the controller of any personal data described in the privacy policy.

Nothing on this site is a paid placement. The comparison is based on public prices, terms and help documentation. Where a provider's page is ambiguous, the review says so. Where a number changed in 2026, the page shows the new number and, where useful, the old one so you can recognise an outdated guide.

How the numbers are checked

Every price, fee, penalty and deadline in the guides is linked to a public source and checked on 22 October 2026. When a source is a state fee schedule, we use the state's own schedule. When a state does not publish a clear fee table, we say which secondary source we used and mark it as such. When a provider's price is promotional, we show the list price as well. When something could not be verified, the page says “unverified” instead of inventing a number.

Prices change. A provider can raise a renewal, a state can change a fee, and a rule can be revised. The “last checked” date is the date of the last review, not a guarantee that the page will be correct forever. If you spot a stale number, report it at Tomasz Dziedzicki, contact: tomasz.dziedzicki@gmail.com.

Editorial policy

  • Primary sources first. IRS, FinCEN, state secretary-of-state offices and the provider's own pricing page. A blog post is not a source for a fee.
  • No invented experience. We do not claim to have used a service we have not used. Reviews are based on public terms and documentation, and they say so.
  • No “best” without a reason. A recommendation names the use case and the trade-off. “Best” for a solo consultant is not “best” for a venture-backed startup.
  • Corrections are published. If a material fact changes, the page is updated and the date changes. Sponsored content is labelled; there is none at launch.
  • No legal, tax or insurance advice. The guides explain rules; they do not apply them to your facts. Use a qualified adviser.

Not legal, tax or insurance advice. This article explains general rules and public prices. It does not apply them to your situation and does not create a lawyer–client or adviser–client relationship. Company formation, tax residence, CFC rules, VAT and banking eligibility depend on facts that this page cannot verify. Before you form or move an entity, take advice from a qualified professional in the country where you live. For EU residents: a US LLC does not remove home-country tax, VAT or social-security obligations.
