What data we collect
None through the site itself. There is no form, login, cookie banner, analytics tag, advertising pixel, embedded video or third-party chat widget. The calculator reads the numbers you type and displays a result in your browser; it does not send them to a server and does not store them in local storage.
Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The host may process technical data such as your IP address, the requested URL, the time and the user agent in its server logs for security and reliability. That processing is controlled by the host, not by this site. Check the host's privacy notice for the retention period.
Cookies
This site does not set first-party cookies. It does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Plausible, Fathom or any other analytics product. If the owner later adds analytics, this page must be updated and, where required, consent must be collected before any non-essential cookie is set. The current build contains no analytics code at all.
Affiliate links and third parties
When you click an outbound link, you leave this site. The destination may be a provider's website or an affiliate network. That third party may set cookies, collect your IP address and record the referral. Its privacy policy and cookie policy apply from the moment you arrive. We do not receive your name, address, card details or tax information from the provider; at most, an affiliate dashboard reports that a referral converted, sometimes with an order value and a date.
An affiliate link may contain a tracking parameter so the provider can attribute the referral. The current build has no affiliate tracking IDs: commercial links open the provider's official page directly. The affiliate disclosure explains the commercial relationship.
External links
The guides link to official sources such as the IRS, FinCEN, state secretary-of-state offices and provider help pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We do not control their content or their data practices.
Your rights under the GDPR
If the site controller processes personal data about you, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability, where those rights apply. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands, that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. Because this site does not collect personal data through forms or analytics, a request will usually concern data held by the host or a third-party provider, and we will point you to the right controller.

Legal basis and retention
The controller is a private individual who runs the site. If that person processes correspondence, the legal basis is usually a legitimate interest in answering the message (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) or a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR). Server logs are retained by the host for the period stated in its policy. This site does not maintain a customer database, a marketing list or a CRM, and no company or partnership acts as controller.
Children
The site is aimed at adults running or planning a business. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
This policy was last updated on 22 October 2026. If the site adds a form, analytics, a newsletter or a live affiliate network, this page will be updated before the change goes live. The effective date at the top of the page will change accordingly.
What this page is not
It is a plain-language description of the current build, not a substitute for legal advice. The owner should have the final policy reviewed for the individual's jurisdiction and the host's actual logging practices.
